As I posted last night about my aunt Ellen, she passed away. She is now with her family, as she has wanted for the last few months. I will miss you Auntie!!

MILLINOCKET - Ellen M. Dickinson, 94, died April 9, 2008, in Millinocket. She was born April 2, 1914, in Millinocket, the daughter of Charles and Eva (Williams) Mackin. Ellen was an avid bingo player. She is survived by five grandchildren, Robert Whalen and Brenda Cyr, Mary Ellen Haugen and her husband, John, Charles Dickinson, Carrie Cosman and her husband, Danny, and Nancy and her husband, Michael Marino; five great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Cecile and Judi; and two brothers, Laurence Mackin and Carlton Mackin, both of Millinocket. She was predeceased by her husband, Elwood; one daughter, Carol Whalen; one son, Donald Dickinson; several brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Millinocket Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls.
